Senior Director, Business Technology Operations
Mar. 2023 - Present, New York
Program Director, Business Technology Operations
Feb. 2020 - Feb. 2023, New York
- When I wasn't managing Vice’s portfolio of 200-plus operations projects, I partnered with legal, finance, HR and IT leads to optimize our processes and systems stack.
- I specialized in liaising between business and IT stakeholders, gathering business requirements, building solutions and training end users.
- I often worked on upgrades to our ERP (which I helped implement, see: NetSuite, right), including integration building, report building and more.
Operations Manager
July 2017 - Jan. 2020, New York
- Reporting directly to the global CFO, I oversaw an ecosystem of systems and associated workflows that the business runs on, including but not limited to Salesforce, Workday and NetSuite.
- I ensured the staff was well-informed of processes and tools via a centralized hub of policies and resources (designed and held process owners accountable).
- To ensure we stayed profitable – with the help of consultants and a small team that I supervised – I held project managers accountable for keeping their projects under budget and helped department heads resource their teams effectively.
Associate Producer
July 2015 - July 2017, New York
- I was not only responsible for managing $1M+ budget projects, but also for contributing to the creative and ensuring quality of the finished product. I led digital, broadcast, technical, social media, and print projects for several brands, including the New York Yankees, Unilever and Vice Media.
Jan. 2013 - July 2015, New York
- During my first two and a half years at Carrot, I created daily social content, built and presented monthly reports to optimize results, and managed paid social campaigns for Wilson Baseball and DeMarini, an aluminum bat manufacturer. After getting a taste of so many different roles while working on this account, I knew project management would be a natural next step for me.
Online Sports Editor/Producer
Oct. 2012 - Jan. 2013, New York
- The night shift had its perks – I edited New York’s renowned tabloid sports pages online, writing tabloid-style headlines with the industry’s most creative writers – but the night shift is still the night shift.
Sports Web Intern
May 2011 - Sept. 2012, Boston
- I had to put my New York bias aside and produced online content for Boston sports, covered NFL, NBA, and NHL games, and managed the website.
Editor-in-Chief
Sept. 2008 - Apr. 2012, Hamden, Conn.
- Little did I know my freshman year when I joined the school’s newspaper that my experience would change the course of my life. When I became editor-in-chief as a senior, I redesigned the weekly print edition and its website, but also began publishing online daily, resulting in 20% more page views year over year. The online overhaul and harder-hitting news earned us a Best College Newspaper in New England award, beating out Harvard’s famed Crimson paper.
Peer Tutor
Sept. 2010 - Apr. 2012, Hamden, Conn.
- I tutored students privately in writing and math and attended tutor training sessions to learn best practices for helping others to, well, learn.
